Experiences and learnings in bootstrapping a student CTF group

In 2020 we started a new CTF group (ChaGU) open to all students from Göteborg University and Chalmers with an interest in these kind of competitions. The team first participated at FOI 2020 CTF and is still active, last participating at BTH CTF 2022.

This talk will cover our experiences in creating and keeping the team alive, what has worked well, what hasn't, what we will try in the future and what are the challenges we see moving forward.
